Ciao e benvenuti a tutti al mio blog! Â - Â Hello and welcome to my blog everyone!
I am Nicoletta, an Italian tutor based in the UK and I am so happy you have found your way to my site. This is the very first post on my new blog and I thought I would start by introducing myself and sharing why learning Italian and teaching it, is such an important part of my life.
I grew up between two cultures, Italian and British. In my world, language has always been more than just a tool for communication. For me, it has been a bridge, connecting me to family, heritage and a way of seeing the world. The Italian language, in particular, encapsulates warmth, beauty, and expression. Every word carries not just meaning, but emotion, history, and culture, reflecting how Italians think, behave, and exude their love for life.
Becoming an Italian tutor was the best decision of my life. It allows me to share not only expressive vocabulary and grammar, but also the richness of Italian culture: from music and art to delicious food, travel and the many traditions that make Italy so special. My greatest joy is helping students discover that learning Italian is not just about memorising words or phrases, it is about entering a whole new world full of colour, flavour, and discovery.
On this blog, you will find a mix of practical Italian language tips, cultural insights and reflections on what it means to learn (and love) Italian. Whether you are planning a trip to Italy, reconnecting with family roots, or simply curious about this beautiful language, my hope is that you will find inspiration here to begin, or continue, your own journey of discovery.
I would love to hear from you, and learn what draws you to the Italian language. What do you find most exciting (or most challenging!) about learning it. Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.
Grazie mille for joining me on this journey.
Here is to many conversations, discoveries and a touch of la dolce vita along the way!
A presto,
NicolettaÂ
