I want to learn Italian but not in a group.

How long will it take me to learn the language on a 1-2-1 basis?

You should learn much quicker on a 1-2-1 basis as the entire hour is devoted just to you.   

Will I have to sit an exam?

There are no exams, unless you wish to do so on a private basis.

Do you cover all levels?

I teach absolute Beginners right up to Degree level.

Are there any social events organised for students?

I can organise trips for a group of four students to travel to Italy for a long week-end in order to have first hand experience at speaking Italian, but with the added bonus of having someone who can help you out if necessary.

Am I too old to learn a language?

No one is ever too old to learn!

In fact, recent studies have disclosed that learning a language in later life keeps the brain agile and active!

Will I be able to speak basic Italian and how soon after starting lessons?

You'll starting speaking Italian on your first lesson – the secret is not to be shy or scared of expressing yourself in a different language.

 

It's an enjoyable thing to do.  Especially when you get it wrong!

Are the lessons structured?

The lessons are structured in the beginning in order for you to understand the basic Italian grammar and what it entails.  Exercises and practical scenarios will help you understand how Italian conversation works.

Will I need to buy a book?

No.

I will provide you with a manual that I have written, which contains all the information you will need.

What can I do to improve between lessons?
 

I will give you little exercises to do in your own time.

Twenty to thirty minutes a day is ample.
